Cedele - Greenwich V

My family and I dined here last weekend and it turned out as one of the best family time. Ww were looking for a spot where we can comfortably leave our little pup for a while, while we have breakfast. We were glad to find a shed for our pup in front of Cedele and the glass walls allowed us to overlook our pup! Cedele’s healthy meal options is also a great plus. We had hot chocolate, Prawn and Turmeric Pasta, Chicken and Mushroom pasta, and Blueberry waffles. Their serving size is awesome too! I would say it was a lot more for us individually but we managed (thank goodness) to chomp everything on our plate. We spent $69 all in all.

Ali is a great staff who’s always attend to customers and dedicated to his work. He manages his team well, ensures smooth operations, and always keeps service quality high.

Our most favourite branch for Cedele. Tried several branding under Cedele but this branch service was still the best. Our kids love their mushroom soup and they serve free flow of bread if you order soup. Their staff here are more friendly and attentive too. Our favourite cake was their walnut carrot cake and Matcha green tea cake.

Just collected a cake ordered online through the main website. I understand if the cake came from HQ kitchen instead of the outlet but how the staff - a senior lady in particular, handled the situation today was downright disgusting. The cake had a visible crack across the lettering, which also happens to be the cake recipient’s name. I pointed it out, and Staff came out declaring “all the cakes are like that one” repeatedly in a raised volume. I refuted this by pointing out the same cake at the counter, (which was still round and unsliced) that it looks smooth and uncracked. She did not acknowledge my protest and continued saying the same words loudly. I decided not to pursue further as the whole restaurant was watching this debacle, and the more people were entering the place. When my family opened the cake box, they also questioned on the appearance of the cake. Even if it had been baked elsewhere, and the outlet kitchen staff did not have the capacity to rectify this, the staff here should have handled the situation more sensitively instead of strong-arming me into accepting what was below my expectations. What was supposed to be a happy occasion made me feel humiliated and bullied. Please don’t bother with a template apology if you won’t be doing anything about this.

TL;DR - Premium prices for a hack job. Worst experience among Cedele outlets I’ve been to. Understaffed, dirty wet tables, payment issues and long waiting times (40 minutes) for that so-so sandwich. I’d much prefer the outlet at Wheelock Place.

Their tarts are not fresh, wonder how long have they left this out for, probably overnight since I bought this at 11am in the morning. Strawberries are wrinkled and rotten, crust is soggy (this was after I requested for the tart to be changed btw). Friend had a stomachache after eating this. Staff was also unapologetic after pointing out the issues with the first tart. Avoid at all cost!
