Cedele - Waterway Point

One of my favourite joints for their shrimp and avocado coriander wraps, creamy wild mushroom soup, flavorful black pepper crab pasta. Coffees are brewed to perfection; cakes are moist and yummy. (Red velvet cake and dark chocolate cakes, yes!) Seats are plentiful and not too close to the next table. I love the privacy and often do some computer work after my meals.

Service is amazing! Shop is closed or kinda closing, but I really wanted to get a cake for a friend from Cedele! They served us patiently and was very polite! To the other staff working, we saw they were elderly, but they were hardworking and knew what they needed to do. Which I really applaud, both the company for hiring the older generation and giving them an opportunity to work, and also awesome to see them working (regardless if they need or they just want to work)! Once again, thank you to all of the Cedele staff for the hard work! Service means so much to me, and thank you guys! This place has got to be one of the worst and most unhygienic eateries. The elderly man at the cashier is not suitable to be working in F&B (Date: 30/11/2025 around 12.45pm). I bought takeaway breads and requested for the breads to be sliced. He threw the paper bags (yes, he threw, not put them down but threw) on top of the breads. Seriously what kind of attitude was that? He knew his behaviour could be seen because in front of him was a clear panel yet he still voluntarily chose to display such unprofessional and unhygienic behaviour, he really had no shame, and he had serious attitude problem. And especially for F&B business, this is unacceptable behaviour. Why couldn’t he place the paper bags at the side, why must he throw them on the breads? For Cedele price point, I expect good service and good food quality. With such behaviour from your own staff, it doesn’t matter Cedele uses organic or what good quality ingredients because your own staff bring down the quality of the food. Please remove this elderly man or re-assign him some other role. Don’t visit this outlet.

Worst Cedele outlet ever! Appalled by poor service and rude staff. There was an error pricing on the light box - hot tea was charged $4 but listed at $3.50 so asked the cashier why. Instead of explaining, he just swept it off and said it is like that?? At the side, we even heard he said that we were niao (stingy) - which is rude. We still had a full meal as we were already hungry. Recommended more service training and be more tactful. Food and drinks are pretty standard but the experience just made the food feel meh.

I go to Cedele mainly for their cakes hence I am very disappointed and disgusted when I was served a cake with rotten strawberry. It was brown with mould on it and unfortunately I had half of it already before I realized. Went back to …
