as we all know, dog-friendly cafes usually have subpar below average human food 🥲 but i'm happy to say that i have found the one exception!!! plain meredith is a super dog-friendly cafe(sells a huge variety of dog treats, alfresco area is connected to a small dog run outside in One Holland Village etc) with pretty darn good human food! I enjoyed the carbonara and tater tots. Service was also exceptional and impressive to say the least - i made a reservation for a large party of 14 for a surprise birthday party and the staff were super accommodating with my requests to help surprise the birthday boy 🥹🫡🫶

Came around 730/8pm on a Sunday night and there wasnt any queue tho inside is around 70/80% filled. Total damage was $200+ for 6 pax. For mains we had plain meredith burger, carbonara, linguine pomodoro, squid ink prawn laksa, asian spice chicken. Though it was a little expensive ($20-32 per main) the dishes were quite decent. Carbonara was nth special, the linguine pomodoro cheese was quite generous. The squid ink laksa was well seasoned; though its worth noting all the noodles are relatively soft/ overcooked. The chicken was quite surprising where the skin was crispy roasted, similar to peking duck. For sides we had tater tots, truffle fries and crab croquettes. The sides were pretty generous for their pricing though there wasnt anything special w crab croquettes. For the drinks, i wld recommend the matcha strawberry for matcha lover. I love how their matcha was very foamy.

It seems like there’s a change in management or ownership. The prices on the menu have gone up significantly. For example, the big breakfast used to cost $28 and came with a generous serving of ingredients. Now, it’s almost $40 and only has a small amount. We’ve been regulars here, but it’s clear they’ve shifted their focus. The atmosphere is no longer dog-friendly; they seem to be catering more to families with children. We’ll be leaving this place.

Been here a couple of times. Menu has been changed and the fillets have been removed from the mains. Now there's neither quantity nor quality to the food served. Dogs are still welcomed. Service is reasonably good. Atmosphere stays constant. But alas, the food... especially not at these prices.
