Dick Nichols District Park

Great place to have a picnic, family get together, childs birthday party, etc..., Shade provided by Large Oak Trees. Plenty of picnic tables, Spash Pad, swimming pool, tennis court, walking trail. Clean and peaceful. Parking available.

Well-loved, highly utilized park. Every Saturday the walking trails are used but not crowded. Tennis courts, volleyball, basketball, street hockey, and pool are always in some degree of use. Splash pad for the kids is popular with neighbors and often hosts b-day parties under the large Pavillion and/or large shade trees. Groups practice Filipine martial arts and Tai Chi as well. Parking is adequate, but large events call for street parking along a wide shoulder

It's a great gathering place for family picnics, birthday parties, basketball practice, soccer practice, football practice, baseball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, running or walking the one mile trail, bicycling, exercising your dog...what did I miss? Oh, there's also a splash pool fountain for kids. Really, one can spend the day here!

Wish there was more parking. This is a popular place for practicing and having games of various sports. Covered Pavilion is nice for birthday parties or get-togethers. Wish the swimming pool could be open year round. The trail is always nice except for those people who do not pick up their dogs. Droppings.

On the day we went which was a couple weeks ago someone pooped in the pool. That's not the bad part. The guards knew there was poop in the pool but continued to let people enter the water. That's upsetting and just gross so my kids and myself will not be swimming there anymore.
