Cafe Melba at Mediapolis is a spacious, family-focused venue with a sheltered bouncy castle, large outdoor green lawn, and both indoor/outdoor seating that accommodates children's birthday parties well. Staff are generally accommodating for group events and kids' celebrations, though food quality is inconsistent and service can be unreliable. The venue's main appeal is the expansive space and kid-friendly amenities rather than exceptional dining.

We had worked with Cafe Melba to put together our daughter’s 7th birthday party and had an amazing experience both leading up to, and during the event. From start to finish, all staff were friendly, flexible, understanding, accommodating …

We often visit Cafe Melba Mediapolis, and their service is consistently excellent. AND we just had an amazing Sunday, this time celebrating our daughter's birthday at Cafe Melba Mediapolis! Sheikh and his staff were exceptionally accommodating for a large group party and went above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience for everyone! Thank you, Team! I highly recommend this place for its excellent food, friendly staff + service, sheltered bouncy castle, and both indoor and outdoor spaces for kids to run around.

Celebrated my 3 year olds birthday here and Sheikh and his team were fantastic! Food was great and they took care of all 30 of our guests really well. Our only regret was that it was raining and the kids couldn’t use the bouncy castle (safety issues), but we will absolutely be back to play again!

Had my child's birthday party here - was able to reserve a section of the outdoor alfresco area which was the perfect location for the parents to let their hair down and enjoy while keeping an eye on the kids at the bouncy castle. And we …

Went to this MediaCorp branch for the first time and was very much anticipated. Perhaps my expectations were too high, I was somehow disappointed. First of all, the table want very clean. I wiped the table myself as a habit to start my food, and the damped white napkin turn brownish yellow right away. Ordering through an ipad is really cool and tech-trendy, but not the most ideal when you dine there with active little ones. While the food tastes okay, it doesn’t appear outstanding on any aspect. The weekend roast of slow cooked beef was not all that fantastic. The only thing that I really fancied was the roasted asparagus. Servings for the Pizza and egg Benedicts to me are just not enough. Lastly, as it should be a rather family friendly restaurant, the only kid play area is the bouncing castle outside, which is difficult if you go with a small family of 3. There’s nothing indoor to keep kids entertained. There was flies flying around my kid, which I believe should be occasional , but not for restaurants serving pricy items.

Had a really unsavoury experience here, visited the place on a public holiday Upon arrival, was served by a staff who was genuinely disinterested in directing me to a table. Was given a very stern warning that I had to vacate the table within an hour cos I didn’t make a reservation. Ordered a flat white and a kids meal. The flat white was a disaster. The coffee lacked any aroma - barista either used really old beans or the roast was too light to be used for expresso. The temperature of the drink was way too hot and I scalded my tongue. Also, there was no latte art. For a cafe that draws inspiration from Melbourne, I would assume that your coffee would be of some standard. Next, my wife joined us and left her umbrella beside the table. It was blocking part of the pathway and I was unaware about that as I was looking after my kid. There was a staff - blonde lady, could be the manager - that shot me a death stare and mumbled something to me about moving the umbrella. Sure, the umbrella was blocking you and I understand that you’re busy preparing for some kids party, but it would be nice if you could be polite and ask nicely. The atmosphere was the only saving grace, lots of space for children to run around. Other than that, food and service were abysmal.

How this cafe has so many good reviews is beyond me. Went there for lunch on a Monday. First of all, do not go here if you are in a rush. Account for at least 40 mins for the food to come. It doesn't matter if what you ordered is a complex …
