I’ve been searching for a good chocolate soufflé for the past few years in Singapore — this one definitely surpassed my expectations. It is so rare to find a cafe that can actually make chocolate soufflé creamy and rich, instead of the light cakey texture that most places settle for. This cafe’s chocolate desserts and coffee are some of the best I’ve ever had, all perfectly balanced. Will definitely be back often!

Beautiful, artistic and great flavor. Some of the nicest cakes, homemade ice cream and chocolates we’ve had. Thoroughly recommended. Friendly owner and staffs. Nice chatting with you ladies!!

Extremely rude owner. Do not recommend. we walked in on a sat night after dinner, hoping to get some dessert. it was relatively quiet, some patrons sitting down but not busy when my family and i walked in. the selection looked interesting and we were sure about our decision to buy. we first asked if they allow for samples and the owner replied yes. so we asked to try 2 of their flavours but the french owner was making an impatient expression while reluctantly obliging. we were very sure about buying but as we were about to order, the french owner proceeded to wave us aside in a very rude manner, telling us to “move aside for the patrons behind”. i was surprised by his rudeness considering how open we were being about wanting to buy but nonetheless, i went to sit down with my father first and allowed my brother and mother the space to order. in that time, both my brother and mother were increasingly upset by the unexplained rudeness so they were no longer interested and we left the shop quietly. incensed by the treatment of my family who were obliging despite the owner being extremely unreasonable, we stopped some ways away from the shop to write this very review. however, before i could finish typing, the owner came out of the shop and took photos of us, angrily demanding to know “what is our problem”. we proceeded to tell him it was extremely unfair of him to treat us like this and explained to him but he refused to hear it and continued to shout. this escalated into him yelling vulgarities in french at us. i make a point of supporting small businesses and am forgiving of service but this incident has crossed many lines. i am shocked that the owner continues to work in service industry if he hates people that much. selling chocolate nonetheless! we were hoping to end the evening on a sweet note but unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Used to love this place (came at least once a year) but the last time I went, the owner was very confrontational when asked very simple questions about the menu and pricing. He proceeded to chase everybody out and started screaming at customers at the table, claiming it was because of us. He complained about working long hours but this is not the way to treat any customer. Pleasw avoid at all costs.

I cannot believe I took a cab down to this place (spent 20 dollars as it was raining) just because I read some good reviews and wanted a hot chocolate from here. IS THIS HOW YOU PACK A CAKE? I feel hurt and insulted. Service is bad, I wanted chocolate souffle to-go because the cafe was crowded and there was no space to sit. Was rudely told by the cashier that souffles aren't for takeaway. When I handed cash for payment, was rudely told off once again that "we are a cashless cafe" I paid 30 dollars for this cake (seen in picture) , a chocolate tart and hot chocolate. I wish I could get my entire refund(50$) cab included, for taking the effort to come all the way here, only to be served by rude staff and a cake/tart/hot chocolate that tasted spoilt. Thanks for ruining my weekend. EDIT: because i cannot reply to the owner who recently commented, i would like to highlight that i was not given a refund and instead in the email exchanges, i was blamed for not handling the box properly after leaving the shop. As you can probably see the owner's reply below, he is still pushing the blame onto me despite being at fault and refuses to take accountability. i did mention in my email exchanges to him, that a cab was already waiting once i got my order and i only walked a small distance to fetch my cab, during my commute the box was neatly placed on the seat to ensure stability, the tart was packed nicely, but it's the cake as shown in picture which i would like a refund for, however, despite my countless and relentless explanations, the owner refuses to compensate, i very well believe that he does not take accountability--and has no trust on his customers who are a source of his business. i will definitely not return and in my entire restaurant/cafe experience, never come across someone so adamant.
