Curiosity Cove is an exceptionally well-designed interactive indoor playground that excels for children aged 2-6 with immersive themed zones, sensory play elements, and attentive staff supervision. However, it's limited for older children (8+) who find fewer challenging activities, and operational issues like confusing grip sock policies and high pricing frustrate some parents.

What Parents Love

  • Immersive, thoughtfully designed interactive zones
  • Excellent staff engagement and child supervision
  • Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers aged 2-6
  • Clean facilities with calm areas for overstimulation

Things to Pay Attention To

  • Limited appeal for older children above age 8
  • Confusing grip sock policy creates negative first impression
  • High ticket price relative to play variety offered
  • Only 2-hour sessions limit extended play time

You’ve seen the videos, you’ve heard the hype. Here’s our honest review of this new indoor playground located in the expanding Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Broken up into well-thought out spaces, take your time to explore each space. The interactive zones encourages sensory play where your little one is required to touch, pull, or even lift up rocks to find hidden bugs. Your cautious explorers will love the grasslands and the underwater area where they can pretend to be a cheetah or fish in their natural habitats. For the more active tykes, there are slides, climbing nets, trampolines, and even a “batcave” to conquer. Plus: It might because the facility is new, but the washrooms are clean, dry, and easy to find. 👧🏻 Toddler verdict: 10/10. It’s almost as if this entire area was built BY toddlers. There’s plenty for tykes below 5 to do here - run, crawl, sprawl, climb. 👉 Parents’ note: Pre-booking your slot is required. We recommend booking weekday mornings as we almost had the whole place exclusively! Follow us @slideseekersg on Instagram for more playground reviews

Although it’s designed as a playscape for kids, my friends and I (in our late 20s) absolutely loved it. From the artful illustrations and animations to the tactile textures and thoughtful details crafted for every type of child (literally and figuratively), it was an immersive, creative, sensorial and educational experience from start to finish, and we had a blast learning through play. Kids would love Curiosity Cove for sure. It’s nothing like the usual indoor playgrounds. They even have dedicated calm zones for kids and parents who need a short respite from overstimulation. For adults, it’s a great place to heal your inner child! 😆

such a great space for kids to move around and tired them out! 2nd visit here, space is clean, spacious and very different from outside indoor play area it’s easy to spot your child and supervised them even if you’re a distance away. I think it’s such a great concept for parents with younger kids. Toilets are easy accessible and clean as well. Every station has someone guarding it to ensure the safety of your kids. Mandai Wildlife has definitely outdone themselves 👏 not to mentioned great service and smooth and fast free communication with the staff

Brought the children (7yo & 10yo) to explore Curiosity Cove for the first time. Its very spacious and clean and smells good. The interactive areas were beautiful as well. However, i feel that the playground can have more play area for kids 10yo & above (upper primary). The playground were not as stimulating. With the price, i think i would prefer to spend it at superpark so that the kids feel more engaged. Level 1M can also be further developed as this is quite a big wasted area. Too big for just lockers and shoes only. Overall. Good for small kids. Underwhelming for big kids. Good to visit once though. Therefore unlikely to come again if no improvements are made.

The space is large and beautifully designed; however, it is more suitable for younger children up to about 5 or 6 years old. Older children may find the indoor playground less engaging and not as fun. There is potential to improve the fun factor to make it more inclusive for older kids, as the space is quite big and not fully utilised.

Lousy communication from staff on site about the need for grip socks. Staff #1 said it was only for adults. Staff #2 said it was necessary for kids too. Really poor start to the experience, making it feel like a blatant cash grab at the door, especially as it wastes your play time. Training needs to be uniform and better to overcome these teething issues. Edit #1: stupid grip socks grip the outer surface well but the smooth inner surfaces slip, so they are useless and hazardous Edit #2: High risk areas like slides are poorly managed, with staff direction ineffective, e.g. where the twisting slide blocks line of sight from the top - poor design which could be mitigated by good crowd control but sadly that wasn't in evidence as the staff member stood too far away to be easily heard. See picture for slide in question and position of staff. Protocol is ineffective. Saw a toddler run straight into the out chute and almost get wiped out by the kid going down. Edit #3: grip socks policy is poorly enforced. Now it's clear it's a cash grab and not a safety measure.
