I knew the food here was going to be good, but it definitely exceeded my expectations because it tasted ASTOUNDINGly home-cooked. And I know how difficult it is to find painstakingly homemade Peranakan food ANYWHERE in the world. Definitely no MSG used, less salt and packed with flavour. Must accompany all their dishes with their signature (spicy and sour) sambal chilli and their fragrant nasi lemak rice!!! The impeccable quality and speed of service was the cherry on top. Daisy came over to introduce herself and ask how was everything. Now this place is on my list of TOP restaurants. Used the search function on google maps after our Bukit timah nature reserve hike. No regrets! It’s one of the best peranakan food I’ve eaten in Singapore! Thank you Google! The chilli was superb! For someone who doesn’t take chilli, I’m risking a whole day of toilet squatting by taking that! Kueh pie tie filling was nicely seasoned and well coupled with the chilli. The ngoh Hiang is crispy with great filling! I’m not a fan of ngoh hiang, but my little one ate 4... 😅 Nonya chap Chye is yummy. Wanted Sayur lodeh but was vetoed by the rest. 😑 Kong bak simply melts in the mouth. 👍🏼 Tried the bubur cha cha too. Just nice... to be shared by 4 people. Very filling lunch! So glad we discovered this gem 💎!

Visited this Peranakan place out of curiosity after watching Zermatt's video. Honestly, the taste was just average. Tried the dry mee siam which cost $12 per bowl — personally felt it wasn’t worth the price. Overall, the flavour didn’t quite live up to the hype.

We just wanted dessert, so I ordered the bor bor cha cha because the picture looked appealing with all its colors. The presentation, to me (and my colleagues agreed), was a bit too homely. I was pretty disappointed with the ingredients though, and the soup was barely above half full, with only a few ingredients. It was served in a plain white bowl you could easily buy from a well-known home furnishings store. Waiter was friendly though.. so overall my rate is average Would I have it again? Hmm🤔

I was rather disappointed with the dinner I had with 2 overseas guests especially the beef rendang, sambal belachan and bubor chacha. Food was excellent in the early days but standard has gone down. The Ngoh Hiang, Kueh Pie Tee as appetisers were good. So was the dessert, pulot hitam.
