Motion Art Space offers a unique pendulum-based liquid painting experience that kids genuinely enjoy, with many staff members (Aiko, Ayra, Dave, Adriel, etc.) providing excellent guidance and encouragement. However, the venue suffers from severe understaffing during peak weekend hours, leading to inadequate supervision, rushed experiences, poor communication about inclusions, and unclear logistics around collection and paint allowances.
What Parents Love
- Unique liquid motion art concept engages children's creativity
- Excellent staff members provide personalized guidance and encouragement
- Suitable for multiple age groups and occasions (birthdays, team bonding)
- Fun, messy creative experience that reduces stress
Things to Pay Attention To
- Severe understaffing on weekends causes overwhelming and rushed experiences
- Minimal initial guidance; mostly video tutorial without hands-on support
- Poor communication about paint inclusions and collection procedures
- Customers required to clean tools themselves after sessions
- High prices ($129 per couple) not justified by limited staff assistance

MAS was a super fun experience, especially for children to learn that it’s ok to make a mess sometimes! Aiko was extremely helpful and encouraging when we hesitated, she made the space really safe to let our creativity run free! Thanks, Aiko!

Amazing time with the girls. My lil one had a smashing time here with her friends for her birthday workshop. 🎂 Dave has been really helpful and we all had a great time...can't wait for the art pieces to be ready soon. …

We absolutely loved our time at MAS! We booked our kids in for the Newton’s Child Packages but ended up adding extra canvases because we couldn’t get enough. The staff were incredibly encouraging and personable, not to mention helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended!

I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but my recent visit to Motion Art Space was rather disappointing. We visited during the weekend and there was only one staff member managing several groups at once. It was clear the staff member was doing their best but was visibly overwhelmed. Because of this, there was inadequate guidance and very limited interaction time, and we felt rushed to complete our artworks instead of being able to enjoy the process. We went in expecting a relaxing, creative experience, but it ended up feeling stressful and hurried — to the point where we couldn’t wait to leave. Even during the artwork pick-up, there was again only one staff member present on a weekend, which suggests an ongoing understaffing issue. I hope management can review their weekend staffing and logistics, as the concept is great, but the experience suffers when there isn’t enough support on the ground.

The immersive art concept at Motion Art Space is fun and unique, however our experience was severely marred by a complete lack of guidance and communication. For a premium price of $129 for two, we expected some level of service. Instead, we were directed to a video tutorial. The staff provided zero assistance throughout the entire session, leaving us to figure everything out ourselves. We were also told we were entitled to 4 basic paints and 1 premium paint, but it was never specified this was per person. This directly affected our session, as we felt restricted by the limited paints and didn't want to overspend on add-ons. Consequently, we ended up paying an extra $12 for paints that should have been included in our couple's package (which, we later discovered online, includes 8 basic and 2 premium paints). The staff did not check what we had taken, which was a step that would have prevented this. The communication issues continued after our session. We were told we could collect our art piece after three days, but the staff never mentioned we needed to book a collection time slot online and we only realised it after checking their website. We do acknowledge that the single staff member was overwhelmed on a busy Saturday, and his mistakes are understandable. However, this experience could be vastly improved with adequate staffing to provide proper customer support. For the cost, having to wash our own tools and having no guidance was incredibly underwhelming. While the core activity is enjoyable, the overall service is disappointing and simply not worth the cost.

One of the worst art places I have ever been to. What we expected to be a fun and relaxing experience turned out to be deeply disappointing. We were shown a brief two-minute demo video, which I initially assumed was just an introduction, but later realized it was the ONLY guidance provided for creating our art pieces. There was no hands-on assistance at all—we were left to figure out the entire process on our own. My daughter and I were very excited, which makes this experience even more disheartening. I feel cheated having paid for what amounted to little more than trial and error. The whole experience felt unjustifiably poor . We were asked to wash the tools after use and the washing area was quite dirty as well …
