My Toy Shop

Used to frequent this shop at Thomson Plaza but since they closed their unit there - it has been a challenge to find a shop like theirs! Huge collection of toys that is different from Toy R Us? They have toys and play things that are closer to heart (maybe toys characters that parents know more of) unlike commercialised toys on adverts. They also sell newer trendier toys like the new concept of blind boxes “Gachapon”. One thing awesome is that they have board games for younger ages i.e. before 7,8 years old; between 5-7 years old. Budding age to introduce board games before primary one! Such better traditional board games are harder to source, the newer ones in malls are great too - but just different. Massive lego collection as well :) even dated collectible ones if you’re big fan of building! Many other knick knacks as well or on-the-go games; which would probably be a better option than Roblox and Minecraft :”) to an extent. Definitely a go-to if you’re near that area!

The owners of the shop were awesome. Very personable and the service was A1. They listened to my requirements and suggested options accordingly. Really worth repeat visit la to buy toys for kids of any age especially 3 and above.. Another awesome service is their wrapping facility and they provide you with a free parking coupon. All the best to this hardworking couple who manage the shop so diligently.

i googled-map this place & had an unpleasant experience with the male Indian owner. So i better put a review here.The shop is also known as toy station. 1stly the prices of the lego were pricey. 2ndly, i was looking at the monopoly set and shortly he scolded me for not placing the monopoly set back to its original place. i clarified with him and asked where did i not place it back.. He showed me that originally the set was placed vertically on its side & after i browsed it i placed it flat, adjacent to it.. And i retorted " How can you be so rude and scolded me for this miniscule matter?" He said " i had to place it back for you and u are wrong not placing it back exactly where it should be.." My jaw dropped & said " actually i wanted to buy 2 items from your store but now..." He replied " Fine.Please go elsewhere.." Finally i am not someone who thinks that customers are always right & you dont have to pander to me. But to scold a customer for the above matter...too much man..Hmm..good luck to you dae if you are gonna conduct your business this way..

BAD ONLINE EXPERIENCE AND RUDE STORE OWNER. His defensive reply just proves my point. Lazada gave a delivery date of 1 day and there was a discrepancy with his product post. However, instead of trying to resolve the situation, he lost his temper and cut me off on the phone. He is a rude rude man with a short fuse who blames everyone else except himself. He has no respect for his customers. Please see the other 1 star reviews below which highlight the same issues with the owner.
