Garrison Park

I was here for an Easter gathering and I was pleased. It’s a very spacious park. Plenty of room for many families to gather here. The portable restrooms were actually clean here. I liked the playground for the children to play. There was some seating area like picnic tables. I will be visiting this park again sometime. Great place to have an outdoor gathering /party.

Great small park with walking or biking trails, playground, BBQ pits, trash & recycle cans restrooms, picnic tables and benches throughout. Basketball court Not very crowded except for special holidays. Lots of dogs and owners present. Swimming pool open in the summer. Covered pavilion for parties. Plenty of space to play!! Ride CapMetro route 3 drops off right in front!!

One of the best parks in South Austin, with lots of oak trees to keep the squirrels happy, and the dogs active. I love coming here after it rains, when the grass is growing thick, and throw the ball around with my pups. Another perk is the giant playground for parents and kids of all sizes. Additionally there are bbq pits and picnic tables located throughout the area, making it a keen place for a family gathering.

Beware. Dudes be hooking up and looking for boyfriends here, especially after hours. The fact that this is connected to a highschool and So many kids hang here makes it so upsetting. This isn't a new phenomenon at all. I have complained and …

There were some sketchy young adults there who were taking over the playground. Talking about using drugs. Homeless people all over the place. It's a beautiful scenery but I wouldn't recommend anyone take their kids there. Only a matter of time before a needle or baggies are found at the playground
