Sarah was an exceptional guide during our Night Safari experience at Mandai. Her observation skills were incredible — she has an amazing eye for spotting animals that we would never have noticed on our own. Her sense of direction was also impressive, and the entire tour felt very smooth and well-paced. The experience lasted over four hours, yet Sarah remained patient, enthusiastic, and attentive throughout. She explained animal behaviors, habitats, and conservation knowledge in a clear and engaging way, always happy to answer questions without any sign of fatigue. Her passion, professionalism, and deep knowledge truly made this Night Safari a memorable and unforgettable experience for us. Thank you, Sarah, for such a wonderful evening.

Mandai Night Safari had always hold a special place in our family. We decided to spend my birthday in Night Safari this year. We loved being out in the nature at night, exploring the nature and the nocturnal animals. The air was very fresh after a heavy downpour and the ambience temperature was very cooling. The park opened at 7pm (there was a small mistake on the park's map stating opening time at 6.30pm). We waited near the park entrance for the 'Creatures of the night' show at 7.30pm. You will need to book online to watch the show. You may book online 2 hours prior the show. Show timings will be at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm. The show was very interesting displaying the different nocturnal behaviours of the animals. One of our best part of the show was the owls, which you won't get to see in the Singapore Zoo or even Bird Paradise. One of the favourite part of our trip was the tram ride, we really enjoyed sitting comfortably on the tram, listening to the explanation of the different animals, and enjoying the night breeze. The tram ride was about 28 minutes, ending with the Night Safari mascot, Chawang! There was no alighting stops midway, hence you would alight at the same tram stop you board the tram. After the tram ride, we started hiking along the well-planned animal trails (pangolin trail, leopard trail, tiger trail, tasmanian devil trail), there were also flying fox walkthrough and civet walkthrough midway through the park where you got to walk into the exhibit with the animals very close to you. Park keepers were stationed in each of them explaining the animals and their behaviours to you. When you were midway through the park, you might need a restroom break or a light snack, there was a 'East Lodge', where you could get some rest, drinks, snacks and restroom break. After the rest, you may proceed to visit the exhibits of the majestic animals like Asian lions, Bengal white tigers, Nile hippopotamus, Indian rhinos and Asian elephants. After we finished the trails, we still had some time left. We decided to board the tram ride once again to enjoy the night breeze while watching the animals. We ended up taking two more rides. There was less crowd on the tram rides nearing the closing time, so it was really enjoyable. We really enjoyed our visit very much! Thank you so much to all park keepers, making our visit a special one.

The Singapore Night Safari is a world-class nocturnal adventure that offers a rare, moonlit glimpse into the secret lives of over 900 animals. It is a "must-do" for those seeking a more atmospheric, cooler alternative to a traditional zoo. Why It’s Special The Tram Experience: The guided tram ride is the centerpiece, whisking you through seven geographical zones—from the Himalayan Foothills to the Equatorial Africa—where you can spot elephants, tapirs, and lions just meters away. Hidden Gems on Foot: Don't just stick to the tram! Walking trails like the Leopard Trail or the Tasmanian Devil Trail offer the best vantage points to see active predators and elusive creatures like the Sunda pangolin. The Atmosphere: The lighting is expertly designed to mimic moonlight, ensuring the animals remain active while creating a mysterious, jungle-like ambiance.

Unique experience. Night tour tram was quite special. However many of the animals were hiding on the walking trail that the chance you can see them is 30 percent. And on top of it, the Creatures of the Night show we got to at 9:30pm on …

Day park is more interesting. A few main things to do for night safari, a fire show, night animals show at the ampithreater and the tram ride. The fire show is ok for kids, might be bored for adults. Animal show should just be a 5mins animal walkway, but added a lot of talking and become a 30mins show.. the tram ride to see different animals, but unless you are also a night animal with night vision, its just some shadows of animals afar.. and the night safari is probably too late for kids and too dark for adults 😂
