42 Pasta is the Answer

I’d give more than 10 stars if I could! It was our first time dining in, and we instantly fell in love with the food — you can truly taste the passion in every dish. The service was outstanding; they went above and beyond by preparing a high chair and a non-spicy pasta so I could feed my toddler comfortably. Every side dish was delicious, especially the roasted pork salad, my husband couldn’t get enough of it. The pasta was perfectly al dente and rich in savory flavor. Everything was simply flawless.

Pasta made freshly by a talented chef with personalised service! Was there for a private birthday party and delightfully surprised by every dish on the bespoke menu. Reservation needed due to limited serving of pasta daily.

The food may be fraction of the price you’d normally get at an authentic Italian restaurant, but there’s definitely no discount on the quality and taste! Our toddler loved their roasted pork & waldorf salad, and when the chef heard that he loved the apple in the salad, he came over and to our son’s delight, cut him some more pieces of apple! Overall, we loved their pasta, the appetisers, yuzu apple vinegar, and the basque cheesecake was the best I’ve had as the taste and texture was just perfect! Not too sweet with the right amount of creaminess in all the right places! LOVE!

Food was decent. But I waited long. Service was just not it. Is this place really the answer???? Waitress was serving food wrongly throughout my time spent at the restaurant. Saw it happen at least thrice and she claimed that it has never happened before (yet somehow I witnessed it happen thrice right in front of me). On top of that, she served that very same dish to the correct table after it being served to the wrong table. Also, coffee was on the menu but was not available the day I went. Waitress told the table next to me to get it from 7-11 next door Waited 20 minutes for the basque cheesecake. Only served upon asking for it. Waitress fumbled with the cutleries and just gave up and put it on the table. In all honesty, I have no idea how the waitress got hired, and even so how she could stay hired here despite her lack in professionalism and hygiene. If you do still want to give this place a try, do remember to make a reservation before coming as they’re always fully booked. Unfortunately, Given that I’ve had to wait 1+ month for a reservation, I fail to see the appeal of this place after giving it a try. The food is good but not good enough for me to compromise the subpar service. There is a lot of room for improvement in terms of their service and efficiency in taking orders and preparing them. I understand that it is a one man show in the kitchen, but the service has to be of a certain standard to retain their customers.
